Katsuhiro Saiki

Born in Tokyo. Currently lives and works in Tokyo and Ishikawa.

He had the exhibitions in the major galleries and museums in Europe, Japan and the United States, including Nederlands Fotomuseum, Rotterdam; Artists Space, New York; MoMA PS1, New York; Japan Society, New York; House of Photography, Moscow; Neues Museum Weserburg, Bremen; Kawasaki City Museum, Kanagawa.

Saiki received renowned fellowships and residence programs, including two years fellowship from The Agency for Cultural Affairs Japan in 2004, International Studio Program, MoMA PS1, New York in 2002, and Japan-United States Arts Program, Asian Cultural Council, New York in 2002. His public collection includes DZ Bank, Frankfurt; The Japan Foundation, Tokyo; Museum Franz Gertsch, Burgdorf; Lafrenz Collection, Hamburg.

Saiki also translated “Art Power” by Boris Groys in collaboration with scholars and organized the committee to invite him to Japan for a series of symposium in 2017.
